A new mount enters the stable. A series of events (not a wreck) forced us to re-consider the herd on the farm. We considered all the choices:
1. New truck for me and give Deb the Taco - too much $$$
2. A 4x4 for Steph and we take the sweet Celica GT-S - too much $$$
3. A classic Vanagon for me and give Deb the Taco - kill me to see Deb destroy the Taco
4. Deb gets to pick a "new" car for herself (we ruled out the Mini and Beetle) - guess what won ; )
5. Fix the RAV4 - deemed a waste of money
In the end Deb picked a certified (extends the warranty) 2008 Honda Fit Sport, we got it for less than KBB and our trade was KBB for fair (which was a good deal for us) and the dealer really wanted to make the deal. They dropped the price and APR twice in 2 hours.
I guess my new Cyclocross bike will wait another year : (

You can never tell a cat's personality till you live with it, this one is the sweetest cat, but can tell when I am doing work and is relentless to sit right where it is. (PS my friend Will was correct, black cats suck for PODs)

Dropping money into water. The school hosted a couple of companies and one of them had a flash that fires 20 times in a second, the Nikon D3s motor drive could not keep up, but it was fun.

Sam and I also hiked, played catch and read. The video stars Sam and Ramon. Too bad I had to come home, while putting stuff away I was attacked by yellow jackets in the barn... now the proud new owner of 3 welts.

Playing in the surf at Ft. Fisher. Because of the storms in the Atlantic, the waves were awesome, even without the boogie board, just body surfing was producing some great rides.

I had a busy day that started at 4am grading homework. At 8pm I watched (I hate being on that side on the fence) the end of Sam's (at bat in picture) first fast pitch softball practice.

Waiting for moths. As part of the "keep the cats happy as indoor cats" program, we invite moths to the door and let them in the sun room at dusk. Cats love it!

We ran out of dry food for a couple of hours. We bought the 9 pound bag and I put it in a washed out litter bucket, but they wouldn't let me close it.
