Today was one of those rides it was tough to start, 40 degrees and spitting rain all day, so about 2pm I give up and head out. First I flat about 40 minutes in, change it and realize I am slightly under dressed and shivering. An hour later when I shot this picture, I was waiting for Steph to come get me after I broke a spoke and the wheel was wobbling so bad it was hitting the frame. As the Monkees once sang, "I guess I should have stayed in bed, the pillow wrapped around my head..."

Crappy day (again) Spent the whole day in the office waiting for a verdict in a self defense shooting/killing. Didn't even get to wash the nasty salt off my truck.

The faces of crime. Left to right: the murderer, his wife, the ex-wife of a victim, and dad and girlfriend of victim. This was the Valentines Day murder of 4 people over sexual harassment, job loss and ? The defense attorney at sentencing said, "My client plead not guilty at his arraignment, has maintained his innocence during the trial, that is what I am stuck with."

Ride home dog. Great bike ride today. Almost 2 hours in a rain and 31 degrees... The road was frozen in places and everyone in the group went down at least once. But it beats riding on a trainer in the basement.

A sad story ends. A man killed 4 people in two crimes last Valentine's Day. Two parents, basically in front of their kids and these two's, boyfriend/father, when he stopped to aid another woman being attacked. The man was charged with sexual harassment against both females from 2 jobs and committed the crimes days before his wife gave birth to their 3rd child. As John Coffey from the movie, The Green Mile, said, "there is so much evil out there, I am just tired." Be safe!
