The curly fries from the Sunset Grill in Hanover, NY. I was sent to the Indian reservation west of Buffalo for a story on tobacco manufacturing. I stopped in this grill because it had that old school, hole in the wall look. You know how in books the writer says "I will have your specialty?" This was it, it was a warm meal.

It was an epic race. The Ramble Around Prattsburgh, 30 miles of climbing (it seemed) in the rain, 40ish degrees, almost all on dirt (mud) I tried to hold back for next week's 12 hour race in VA, but once I dropped Andy F. all bets were off ; ) Finish time was 2:40:00 for somewhere dead in the middle. I also went through a set of brake pads (and maybe rotors) today... not sure why I was braking going uphill!

It almost worked... I mounted my 5d and strobe on the back of my mtn bike... I needed a little more blur and stop action. At least that was the goal.

Brakes... my brake light came on, I was low on fluid, I also had a frozen parking brake. So I attacked it this morning.

I assume mountain biking is OK... didn't see it listed. As a side note, I continue to be impressed by the new wheels. When I heard the pop, I thought I broke something... wasn't till 15 minutes later I saw I split wood with a spoke.

Early morning ride. I jumped on the bike right after Sam got on the bus. Today was the last day of March and for the first time in history, Rochester didn't have a measurable day of snow.... first time ever!

The start to a crappy week. I have all the classic signs of over training... can't sleep, cranky and no desire to do anything! Well I did gather stuff and post my first e-bay sale ever. 5 things are up for sale to help me buy new bike toys.
