We stayed over night in PA and then stopped at the Glenn Curtiss museum in Hammondsport, NY - Curtiss was like the Wright Bros. just a couple of years behind them, but was the first to fly a kilometer. He started in bicycles, motorcycles, custom engires for blimps, airplanes, the fifth wheel trailer, USS Curtiss and on and on.... His two most famous planes were there, the JN-4 Jenny (a WWI trainer) and P-40 Tomahawk (sadly not a real one, but a 3/4 sized flying model) The museum is an eclectic mix of all of the above and more. (Lots of early aviation stuff)
All in all a great week-end!

Deb and I left the girls home and headed for Bald Eagle State Forest in PA for a little winter off-roading and camping (camping was canceled due to sub zero temps)

My first day home without pay.. or furlough as they call it : (
I did laundry, swam, lifted and cursed the salt. My highlight was a late evening run to "save" a friend of Steph's stuck on a unmaintained road. Sadly she didn't have tow hooks so I couldn't pull her out and instead had to dig her out... afterward Steph and I ran the road for giggles.

Bachelor food. The girls are out of town, so I am "creating" new foods. Spinach with blue cheese and grilled chicken with wing sauce.

Ride around the bay. 15 degrees at the start... the idea is a 2 plus hour ride around Irodequoit Bay, going down and up as many hills as possible. This one wasn't ride-able coming up ; ) - I bailed after 2.5 hours, I had nothing for these guys.

Happy New Year. I had a great day, 2 hours of mtn biking in the snow then visited teh Eastman House for the final days of Steam and Steel by O. Winston Link.
