OK, now several people have now asked me what sliders are.... so here. This shows them better. Sliders are like running boards, except they are MUCH heavier (these weight over 50 pounds each) and are welded to the frame. The idea is when off-roading, they protect the rocker panels of the truck. Must of the time you want to put your tire on an obstacle rather than trying to straddle it, when you do, coming off say a big rock, there is a chance it will hit the body, these allow you to "slide" along the rock. The design is such that they can support the entire weight of the truck, so I can use them as a jack point too. There, now is it clearer?
