A day of waiting, turns into a night of waiting... where is our snow storm? (PS a nod to an old co-worker who always tried to get his car in his photos, that's my truck in the background)
Last day of furlough fun, 12 hours of driving home... 698 miles, one last waffle house meal and a time lapse for you to come along for the ride. The time lapse is 1 picture every minute, shown 12 frames per second, so you get the 12 hours in less than a minute.
Clay riding in Governor's Creek in Sanford NC. A great week of furlough, if there is such a thing. 85 miles of riding single track in North and South Carolina. Vinegar and mustard BBQ, and visiting family and friends. I also bought a new bike frame, a Salsa Dos Niner on ebay... can't wait to build it. (ps video attached)
I tore it up today, look at the fire behind me ; ) I rode Manchester State Forest today, this may be my favorite riding spot ever, fast, flowing and almost 25 miles of riding of singletrack today. And I saw my first Bobcat in the wild.
A great day. Dropped the family off at the airport in Charlotte, hiked a small park, a great mexican lunch and then rode a nice park with lots of red clay (and a little snow)
Frame grab from my last day with my Dr. Berk video. he spoke to medical students and his injury and caring. It's funny watching people not realize the number of times they touch their face...
I have finally decided my 29er frame is too small for me, so I bid (and lost) on 3 ebay auctions today... part of the search included trying to figure out real effective top tube lengths and what head tube angles really mean.
