I can't believe my boss ate the whole pie....

July 29, 2014

After work I installed (one side) my old running boards on a co-workers truck. As always, took twice as long as needed.

After dinner, we stopped by the "Art Barns" outside Cameron, NC - they are fading badly and will soon be gone I am sure.  http://www.atlasobscura.com/places/cameron-barnstormer-murals

2nd annual Photography Department Pickle off. This year I had two judges to help me judge the rookie and master categories. After much debate, Kevin won for the second year in a row.

Rain is coming.

July 23, 2014

The wind at the beach blew so much salt water on the tent, I had to wash it when we got home, today was the first sunny day since then to dry it!

Back from a mini-vacation and back to cats.

Ice cream from a giant strawberry. Still not as good as Kimballs - www.kimballfarm.com - (if you are ever heading through Massachusetts, this is a must do)

The day was eventful, we got early and packed up to beat the heat and rain, had breakfast at a beach dive breakfast place, were directly behind a 3 car accident, and had ice cream, all before the 5 hours of unpacking, cleaning, drying and repacking (although the rain came before I was ready to pack, so the basement is filled right now)

We had great wave action and some over 6 feet tall. Sam was on top a bunch of curls and I was even body surfing without the board till I got rolled under the water, somersaulted and deciding the board was better ; )

The view from my tent window and our set up. The wind was howling tonight, the ground tent was filled with sand, the Flippac - nice and clean. As always in this set up, I slept like a baby!

I learned during yesterday's lab,  students still are not sure on lighting in layers and balancing light, so today was another "performance quiz" - 100% passed, after I made them do it over and over till they passed.

Kevin does his thing! I don't think any student, anywhere appreciates how much work and prep goes into a lecture, and how much more when the lecture includes a live demo, and no one does it better than Kevin!

Sliders are welded on - ready for the woods again.

When cats are assholes. We left the butter out for 30 minutes to eat dinner when a cat found it and licked it... two days later, none of the cats will eat it!

Cleaned the white board.... 4 weeks left for summer semester.

June 29, 2014

Sam had a friend over for the night and they built a redneck slip and slide. I did a few turns, it worked well.

June 28, 2014

A very busy day. I took my trailer down to my brother's in South Carolina to load and carry 3 LARGE loads to the dump,  headed over to Columbia to but these sliders, then "forced" myself to mountain bike for over 2 hours in Harbison State Forest, then drive the 3 hours home....

Oil change and tire rotation, it was too hot to jump, remove, jack install x5, so I just used my old worn out BFGs.
