Rain. Today was a rainy Monday. I rode for 1.5 hours in the rain and then spent the afternoon preparing my evening class lecture...

NCAAs Round Two... too bad SU routed Gonzaga, there was not near the emotions in the second half.

Cool stop on our bike ride. The little creek, Oatka Creek, that flows through my town has a 60 foot water fall 15 miles away, today we stopped and hiked down to see it with the spring melt flowing!

NCAA first round = a long day. I left my house at 6:30am, picked up a lens from the office, a camera loaner from a rep, drove to Buffalo, shot 4 games, transmitted and got home at 2am. At least I had fun : )

NCAA's first round Syracuse practice... look for me Friday. I am in a bright white shirt.

Deer remains in the reeds on Buck Pond. I spent the morning with a crew cleaning out wood duck boxes.

I beat the odds today. 60% chance of rain and a blowing 15+ mph wind made starting a planned 2.5 ride tough to start. The rain never came and the Leigh Valley trail was dry enough to hide from the wind on the loop home.

I forced Will to eat his first Waffle House waffle. Clarksville Summit, PA is the northern most Waffle House and it was jammed packed. PS after the 'noreaster from yesterday, it took us almost an hour to get out of New Brunswick just trying to go around the flooded roads.

Bad time to be in Jersey... right as I am closing the vendor room, the power goes out, 60 mph gusts and 5 inches of rain. The rest of the night was "in the dark" as only the emergency lights and extra video lights (we are photographers) lit the final speakers and the awards show.

Until....I went out today on my second 3 hour ride in three days, and was having a great day until.... I cut a tire and flatted about 30 minutes from the end, no problem, I will use the dollar bill trick to patch the tire, until..... my CO2 dispenser was broken and let all the air out, and not into the tube. Once again I had to call AAA (my daughter) to come rescue me.

Clay asked for a picture of the bike together. Went great, first ride 3 hours on the road, but was comfortable! (other than the 3 hours part)

My mtn bike is being built, my cross bike is on the trainer, so I was "forced" to ride my road bike for the first time in 6 months or so....

I was sent to a press conference for the state comptroller to say something.... I just thought it was funny, watching the PR guy trying so hard to get his magnetic controller shield trying to stick to the wood podium.

Coming together. Thanks to neighbor Tim, my new (to me) bike is coming together... soon!

Shawn and I I climbed Cascade Mountain, my first mountain in the Adirondack 46 High Peaks. The rocky top is just above the tree line and was socked in with clouds and snow. Cascade Mountain has an elevation 4098 feet. It is the 36th highest peak in the 46 High Peaks. The ascent from the trailhead is 1940 feet, and the hike is 4.8 miles round trip. Coming down we used trash bags to aid us, see the video...

Snow shoeing in the Adirondacks. We did Rondaxe Mountain first for the fire tower. You might remember my family did this one in the summer. The climb up the fire tower was interesting as the steps were covered in ice.
