The final night it looked like thunderstorms, but we had no rain (to speak of) all week. The good thing about Ohio is a chance to stock up on my Big Red! OR I shot nothing else all day, since we drove home, attended a wake and cleaned the camping gear up...
Day 5... More off-roading in an old mine, caving in Bowden Cave (my first trip in a "real" cave" including a 3x3 foot opening, walking in the underground stream and watching out for creatures, and a new swimming hole with a view of Seneca Rocks.
Day 4... A busy day, off road driving, swimming in a hole by a waterfall, visiting a huge windmill farm, climbing a fire tower (Sam climbed it twice, no fear of heights in her) and finally gathering on a rock to watch the sunset.
Day 3... This is our trip to the Monongahela National Forest. Today included a visit to the Blackwater Falls, a long road to the Dolly Sods for an even longer hike of "holy crap there are a lot of sticks here" (or in my family lore, a hike similar to the Congaree Swamp hike), a climb up Bear Rocks and a nice sunset.
Marcos Ambrose from Australia wins his first career NASCAR race. I just hope he remembered to thanks the fans. I got a few rides on golf carts today 8599 steps.
